Managing Trustee’s Message

With your support SAVE Trust has been successfully completed 22 years of active participation in the holistic development of the marginalized and the most vulnerable group in Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. SAVE Trust has always tried to put its efforts in every of the sector, through which the deprived can be benefitted, no matter how tough the path, is the determination to facilitate the beneficiaries has been the ultimate goal of the organization.

The great strides we have made and our many accomplishments along the way would not have been possible without the commitment of our members, partners, networks, staff and volunteers who have promoted SAVE Trust’s vision, mission and objectives through their dedication and professionalism.

The journey for social development in our native district (Guntur) started by SAVE Trust in the year 1997 to bring sustainable smile on the faces of deprived people. Ever since the days of inception, SAVE Trust has been engaged in activities meant for societal change and we have been concentrating our efforts on bringing out profound and constitutive changes in developmental approach of the society. It all began with a group of just few like-minded people, but as time passed more and more enthusiastic and committed people came and joined us to strive for the envisioned changes. At SAVE Trust, our staff works with the local community to identify problems and co-create solutions utilizing available resources.

We have been carrying out various programs designed meticulously after careful analysis of various socio-economic problems for sustainable development of the community. Despite several challenges, we continued to provide quality services with the kind support of many invaluable funding agencies/Donors to whom we express our heartfelt gratitude. With the support of our board members, the thousands of active participants and the commitment and hard work of the entire SAVE Trust staff has enabled programs to be successful and bring about positive change in the lives of those people living on the margins of society in the region. We also work very closely with governments to ensure that public programs reach the people they are meant for. That brings me back to our core value of maintaining Trust and building Value and Service.

We realize that the changing scenario has not been so conducive for the poor and the marginalized, under such circumstances our role as a catalyst has increased manifold. We focus our endeavor in the direction of enhancing the sustainable livelihood options, water, primary health care, gender equity and quality primary education for the poor and down trodden sections of the society and empowering the women and children to realize their basic entitlements and rights.

We have achieved just few steps of what we foresaw; but still a lot remains undone. My hope, as we keep expanding our footprints of service, we continue our efforts with renewed vigor, zeal and enthusiasm and walk few more steps with integrity.
