ADOLESCENT (YOUNG) GIRLS AWARENESS PROGRAMME
SAVE Trust is a comprehensive strategy to empower the vulnerable adolescent girls in the identified block through a framework of building social, health and economic assets which will enable adolescent girls to protect their human rights.
The target group of the initiative is adolescent girls from the age group 10-19 years, which focus on out of school un-married and married girls. We gave these adolescent girls training to develop their understanding about child marriage, the Prevention of Child Marriage Act, connect dropout girls to school, and how to increase awareness about the issue in their community.
With the objective to improve the nutritional and health status of adolescent girls in the age group of 10-19 years and empower them by providing education in life-skills and health, STI, HIV/AIDS & Information on family planning, Vocational skills and leadership skills.
SAVE Trust has been creating awareness in the project area through Educational Charts. Focal points of these events were the systematic involvement of the target populations and key stakeholders & their keen desire to know about the issues of adolescent girls. Adolescent girls are availing the services of SAVE TRUST through awareness generation and regular meetings.
