SAVE Trust in order to keep the two sided angle of social and economic development provides meaningful skill training on the available local resources and potencies of market linkages.
Cutting, Tailoring and Dress making is aimed to impart Sewing Skills to Girls as well as women in order to make them self-reliant. The course covers both theoretical as well as Practical Training. This training has been considered to be a good way of generating employment among the young girls and women. This will help eradicate poverty in some families as few successful candidates have started earning through self employment.
Education without skill is like a journey without destination. Skill enhancement is the need of the hour for our society. Keeping this view in mind a vocational training centre was established to provide training to marginalized women. At present SAVE Trust provides training in cutting & tailoring to the community women and girls which would enable them to earn a living through employment and self employment. The centre is fully equipped with the required material and training staff to carry out effective and productive training programmes.
The programme has successfully mainstreamed more women. However, girls and women are utilizing their skill in their own home. The girls and women, who joined cutting & tailoring course, are stitching their household cloths rather than going to the tailor shop.
